Membership is free

Joining is free and gives you access to every library in Sheffield.

Complete the form

All you need to do is to print off and fill in the appropriate application form:

Adult Form

Child form (Under 16)

Then bring it into the library along with one form of identification from this list:

  • Children under 16 - no identification is required, but you will need a parent or carer's signature
  • Driving license
  • Bank book/bank statement
  • Benefit Book
  • Building Society Book
  • Council Rent Book 
  • Medical Card (if typed)
  • Official Government or Council Letter (must be less than 3 months old)
  • Passport Rail Card
  • Senior Citizen's Travel Card
  • TV Licence
  • Utility Bill (must be less than 3 months old)
  • Any other form of photo ID

It will take about 5 minutes to complete your registration and you'll be ready to take advantage of everything the library has to offer. What's more, you can use your library card at any library in Sheffield.
