Jordanthorpe Library is at the heart of the communities of Batemoor and Jordanthorpe but also serves Lowedges, Meadowhead, Norton and beyond. Everyone is welcome! We are a volunteer-run community library working in partnership with Sheffield City Council’s Library Service and with the other 15 volunteer libraries across the city. That means that you can borrow or reserve books from any library in the city using your library card.
We also provide a range of other activities and services to local people – much more than books alone. Take a look at the Services and Activities pages to find out what is available throughout the week.
The library is run completely by volunteers and is funded by grants and our own fund-raising activities. If you are interested in supporting the library, just take a look at how to support us and volunteering to find out how you can get involved. There are lots of ways to support us, from donating books to volunteering some time.
But the most important way you can support the library is simple: come along and join in!
